Kane Williamson breaks records on way to double

With a double hundred against West Indies in December 2020 and another one in the next series against Pakistan in January 2021, Kane Williamson doubled his tally of double centuries from two to four.

With that, he has now levelled fellow Kiwi and wicketkeeper batsman Brendon McCullum (nicknamed Baz) as the New Zealand player with the maximum number of Test double hundreds.

Kane Williamson’s fourth double century came against Pakistan in the Test match that was played at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch in January 2021.

Like each of the three double tons before this one, this knock of 238 too ended in victory for his side.

Each of his four double centuries have come while playing at home in New Zealand. While the first one was at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, the second and third were scored at Seddon Park, Hamilton.
